Welcome to Chenje

Chenje has just completed a comprehensive refurbishment and is open to visitors from 1 June 2026. In its past life, the site was used as a camp for trophy hunters; today, it has been beautifully upgraded for guests seeking an intimate safari experience defined by the space, silence, and rugged beauty of Ntumbe.

Chenje is managed by the Chewore Conservation Trust, with all proceeds directly funding the protection of the area. Guests visiting Chenje Camp can opt for either a fully inclusive safari experience or a self-drive option with accommodation only.

The newly refurbished tented camp at Chenje offers a simple yet elegant setting, where our dedicated guides and staff pride themselves on delivering tailor-made itineraries for every visitor.
