Ntumbe is the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which houses Mana Pools National Park, in the dramatic and wildlife-abundant Zambezi Valley. It is located in a rugged Zimbabwean wilderness sanctuary, where ancient dinosaurs once roamed, leaving behind their iconic footprints.
Ntumbe, formally known as Chewore South during its time as a trophy hunting area has adopted a new name, Ntumbe. The Ntumbe riverbed which sits in the centre of Chewore is where the world famous dinosaur footprints are. It reflects the new focus on conservation outcomes and eco-tourism in this remarkable Zambezi wilderness.
Open for the first time for tourism in June 2026
